LEVELS OF CARE
Residents have many different needs. Before deciding on which accommodation
may best suit your loved one, we are pleased to provide descriptions
of three different levels of care: Skilled Care, Intermediate Care,
and Respite Care.
Skilled Care
A Skilled Care unit provides the highest level of medical supervision
in addition to
specialized nursing and rehabilitation services. This level of care
is usually prescribed by your physician at the time of evaluation.
Services offered by a skilled care unit may include: special feeding
therapies, injections, and dressing changes. In addition, the services
of a physical, occupational, or speech therapist to improve functional
levels may be ordered.
Intermediate Care
An Intermediate Care unit provides the same medical, nursing and
rehabilitative services as the Skilled Care Unit, but an Intermediate
Care unit is
geared toward residents requiring long term care, where the facility
becomes their home.
Respite Care
Even the most devoted families who are taking care of a loved one
at home need an occasional rest. We can provide your family member
with the care they need and the rest that you require. Respite care
is available for up to one month at a time.
