OBJECTIVES
To create and continuously expand and adapt a wide variety of social,
intellectual and physical activities, broad enough in appeal and
content to reach every patient/resident, regardless of level of
functioning. In this manner, we endeavor to meet each individual's
need for activity by providing a stimulating environment..
To explore ability levels and emotional needs of each patient,
designing programs to stimulate responses and provide the opportunity
for self-expression for each level.
To create and maintain the best possible atmosphere for activity
which will initiate and sustain voluntary activities participation
and self-directed behavior.
To develop socially oriented programs that will minimize the isolation
of the patient from community life.
To maintain or restore each patient at or to his fullest potential
through enjoyable and personally satisfying experiences.
