Both private and semi-private rooms are available. Spacious and attractive dining areas are located on each unit. Our patio area provides a lovely setting for our outdoor activities.

Our staff of dedicated professionals have many years of experience in the field of geriatric health care. Our staff is inserviced regularly on all aspects of nursing care. New techniques and approaches are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Our Social work staff assists each resident with the transition to long term care placement. The resident's individual needs as well as their adjustment to facility life is monitored closely throughout their stay. Resident and family support groups and psychological services are regularly provided to assist in their transition. Discharge planning is provided for residents who intend to return to the community.

Rehabilitation services are provided in our new, fully equipped therapy room. Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy are provided with the goal to assist each resident to reach their highest level of potential and to maintain their independence.

Our registered dieticians individualize each residents diet to meet medical requirements and to satisfy personal preferences. Meals are prepared following Kosher dietary laws, yet are designed to satisfy the palate of all ethnic groups.

Our interdisciplinary approach of developing a plan of care for each individual assures that the special needs of the resident are met. Family involvement and attendance at care plan conferences is encouraged.

Extensive therapeutic recreational activities are offered daily at Woodmere Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, led by our creative team of recreation specialist. Special events and trips are incorporated into the program. Barbeques and picnics are scheduled, weather permitting. Religious services are provided for all denominations.

Hospice services are offered in our facility. Mercy Hospice Program is available onsite for terminally ill residents whose treatment wishes are symptom management and control.

Our Therapeutic Community Unit for the Neurobiologically Impaired is a specialized program designed to provide quality services to all individuals in need of such services.
