Accommodations

Rockville Nursing Center is a 158-bed facility with private and semi-private rooms, each cheerfully decorated and fully furnished. Residents are encouraged to bring their personal belongings for added comfort. Each floor has its own dining room, and residents can enjoy visits with family and friends in our sun-filled solaria.

Dining Facilities

All food is freshly prepared on the premises under the supervision of our registered dietitian. The nutritional needs of our residents are carefully considered, and a balanced selection of hot and cold foods is available at every meal. Special dietary restrictions are followed, and feeding assistance is provided for those who require it. We recognize that mealtime offers an opportunity to socialize; therefore, all residents are encouraged to eat in the dining room, fostering a sense of community.

Recreational Activities

In keeping with our philosophy that wellness is a state of mind as well as a state of being, residents are encouraged to pursue life-long hobbies and interests, as well as develop new ones. Recreational programs are offered daily. Pet therapy, arts and crafts, bingo, card games, movies, discussion groups and exercise classes are only some of the regularly scheduled events. Special outings and dining at nearby restaurants are offered, and visits by local civic groups and entertainers ensure a close connection with the community. Residents' birthdays are celebrated with monthly parties, and barbecues and other festivities are held to mark national and religious holidays.
