ALZHEIMER'S UNIT — The facility has a 44-bed special unit with staff who are trained for the special needs of the residents. Classes are conducted on a regular basis to maintain and enhance the staff's skills. Activities for this unit are planned and supervised by a Recreational Therapist.

THERAPEUTIC MEALS — The facility prepares regular as well as therapeutically altered meals as ordered by your physician. Our Certified Dietary Manager prepares the menus with assistance from our consulting Registered Dietitian.

RESIDENT AND FAMILY COUNCILS — The facility has a strong and active Resident Council that meets at least once a month. All residents are encouraged to join the council. Family and friends are encouraged to join the Family Council, which also meets once per month. Management and staff depend on the feedback generated by these meetings to improve the quality of life and care of the residents.

SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES — The facility has a full-time qualified Social Services Department that provides many services, including help in obtaining counseling or financial assistance.

THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES — These services are provided seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. Activities enjoyed by the residents include music therapy, arts and crafts, wine and cheese get-togethers and many other activities and events. Activities are available for a wide variety of cognitive and physical abilities, including sensory programs.
